“This is the Boston neighborhood where I’ve worked for more than 35 years, in both my investment and philanthropic careers.

The waterfront is where Boston first became a hub of global activity, from immigration and trade, to climate change, science and technology. It evokes for me the old China trade that honed the Boston ethic of global impact and bold investments, creating the platform for high tech entrepreneurship and money management that gave birth to the Leifer Family Fund.

Boston is home to world class economic, political, cultural, and scientific hubs, all within walking distance of each other.

Here we can find the headquarters of Fidelity Investments, CJP, AIPAC New England, and the Jewish Community Endowment Pool, all organizations where I’ve put in years of sweat equity.

And it is where so much of the Jewish future is being written.

The urban landscape is a wonderful mix, preserving the old and building the new, a unique blend of Boston’s urban and Jewish community values.”
